Welcome To TK Beef

Our story begins in 2021 in the pastures of Tarkington, Texas. A few miles northeast of Houston, it was here where my husband and I decided to begin our lifelong dream of raising black Angus cattle. As beef prices soared in early 2021, we realized the need in our community for better quality and better priced beef. For the last year, we have been proudly serving our local community with quality dry aged bulk beef, ethically raised right here in Tarkington. Our cattle are raised on grass and finished on grain to provide excellent marbling, tenderness, and flavor without the unnecessary hormones and antibiotics. We aim to provide our community with the best beef at the best possible price without compromising welfare or quality.

Taste The Difference

Experience melt in your mouth marbling with our 14 day dry aged beef. Dry aging allows natural enzymes to significantly enhance the tenderness and flavor profile of the beef. Grass fed and grain finished, our beef will leave a rich and buttery flavor in your mouth that'll have you ditching the grocery stores.

FAQS

What are the advantages of buying in bulk?

Save money - With current beef prices skyrocketing, buying beef in bulk is the most affordable way to purchase quality meat. We charge based on the hanging weight of your beef so you're only paying for what you get. With bulk beef, you pay one price for every pound, whether it’s made into ground beef or ribeyes.

Knowing where your beef comes from - Knowing your farmer ensures the beef you’re consuming was raised in a way that aligns with your values, whether that means it was grass or grain finished, with or without growth hormones, or on a big or small farm.

Customization - You will likely get some cuts of beef that you’ve never eaten before. This is a wonderful opportunity to try new recipes which may lead to a new family favorite.

What beef cuts will i get when i order in bulk?

When you place a half or whole cow order, we will work with you on customizing your order to your needs. It is important to note that we can only provide you with the average weight/cost of an order before processing. Because each animal is different, your final weight may be a little bigger or a little smaller, and your final price will reflect this. We work with our state inspected processor to determine your cutting instructions. Not big on roasts? No problem. Grind them into more ground beef. Want your steaks cut extra thick? You get to choose! Custom cutting allows you get the very most out of each pound of beef.

What do i need to know before ordering beef in bulk?

There are two things to consider when buying beef in bulk, freezer space and money. Half a cow orders can range from 200 to 300lbs so they can take up a good bit of room, typically 200lbs occupies roughly 7 cubic feet of freezer space. Secondly, although buying in bulk saves you a lot of money, it is also an investment. If this is too much of an investment for you alone, we suggest customers buy a half or whole order and split the meat and cost among friends or family. You’ll have to divvy up the meat yourselves, but you’ll still get all the benefits of buying locally, saving money, etc.
